Are you interested in finance and looking to learn more? The Finance Club of IIT Roorkee invites freshers and sophomores to participate in our recruitment test on 19th March 2023. This is a great chance to gain hands-on experience and connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for finance.
The recruitment test will take place on 19th March 2023 at L2 004, 005, 104 starting at 4:30 pm. Everyone is requested to be there on time. No registration is required to take part in the recruitment test. All you need to bring is a pen and your enthusiasm!

Greetings from Finance Club, IIT Roorkee!!

After continued requests from our campus junta, we here at Finance Club present to you a fun journey through the world of finance with an array of organized and curated, topic-wise quizzes and the necessary resources to help tackle them.

The Finance Quiz Series will consist of bi-weekly quizzes every Thursday and Sunday on the basics of various concepts mentioned below.

This Series aims to introduce and familiarize the 1st and 2nd year students with the fundamentals, but everyone’s welcome to brush up their knowledge and test their skills.
(This’ll also give an idea of what to expect in the upcoming Recruitment test, tentatively in the 3rd week of March.)

The resources for the coming quizzes (2nd onwards) will be updated on the Google Docs link the next day shared over our Instagram, along with the top scorers.

Finance Club congratulates all the winners of FinVista. It was overwhelming to see such massive participation in FinVista.
With so many high-quality submissions by the contestants, choosing the winners was challenging. We ask the other participants to not get disheartened. The primary objective of this competition was learning, rest is secondary.

“Without mathematics, quantitative finance would be nothing but a game of chance.”

Greetings everyone!

Finance Club, IIT Roorkee is back with its fourth edition of ‘Quantathon’ for 1y and 2y to give you a glimpse of the intriguing world of quantitative finance. We invite all freshmen and sophomores to participate in the contest and get their hands on some enthralling mathematical problems. Top performers of Quantathon will get direct entry to interview rounds of Finance Club recruitments!

Instructions:
1. Only individual participation will be considered.
2. No prerequisite knowledge of finance is needed. Any new concept asked will be explained in the assessment itself.
3. It would be a subjective type assessment conducted through Google forms.
4. The question paper and the link to the google form will be posted on our page on January 17th, 2023 at 4 PM.
5. All participants will have to make a PDF of their detailed solutions to the questions on blank A4 size papers (use as many as you require) and upload it on the link in the google form.
6. Getting to the final answer is not of paramount importance, the participants will be judged on how well they implement the logic behind the question.
7. The google form will close at 12:00 AM on January 19th, 2023 and no submissions will be accepted after that.
8. Plagiarism will strictly lead to disqualification and the participant will also not be allowed to appear in the forthcoming recruitment test.
