L&T: net profit rose 13.98% year-on-year to Rs 4,123 crore in the April-June quarter. The board approved the merger of wholly owned subsidiary L&T Power Development with the company, subject to approvals. It also signed an Ultra-Mega framework agreement worth over Rs 15,000 crore with TenneT for 6 offshore wind projects and future opportunities.
Hindalco: subsidiary, Novelis Inc, signed an agreement for a $500 million short-term unsecured term-loan facility.
Tata Capital: net profit rose 56.32% year-on-year to Rs 1,547.38 crore in the April-June quarter.
Cholamandalam Investment: net profit rose 45.56% year-on-year to Rs 1,656.22 crore in the April-June quarter. The board also approved raising up to Rs 55,000 crore through secured and/or unsecured NCDs on a private-placement basis, in one or more tranches.
Varun Beverages: net profit rose 15.47% year-on-year to Rs 1,520.80 crore in the April-June quarter. Dividend announced: Rs 0.50 per share, with 1 August as the record date.
Power Finance: subsidiary, PFC Consulting Limited, created a new company called Benchigere Transmission Limited. It will develop a 400 kV power transmission system in Tumakuru district, Karnataka.
Bank of Baroda: reported a possible cyber-security breach involving its business email. The bank does not expect it to have a major impact on its operations, finances or business continuity.
Tata Motors Passenger: operations at its Sanand plants and nearby supplier facilities were severely disrupted by flooding caused by heavy rainfall. The company expects normal operations to resume over the next few days.
Cipla: received US FDA approval for its generic version of Advair Diskus (used to treat asthma). The productтАЩs US market is around $908 million.
Ambuja Cements: net profit fell 33.60% year-on-year to Rs 577 crore in the April-June quarter.
Indus Towers: net profit rose 0.52% year-on-year to Rs 1,745.8 crore in the April-June quarter.
