Market Overview: Brent 🛢
Oil bounced back from the highs of $77 for most of July, at one point falling to $67. Interest in Brent and WTI only rebounded in the last days of the month, as reports from the US noted a further drop in inventories, while nasty weather in Europe pushed the natural gas price (a substitute for oil) to a two-year peak.
Brent slumped today 2% to $65.90, a 13 week low. Buyers should remain cautious considering rising supply with increasingly clear signs that demand is stabilising.
