The Khidmat Centres are envisaged to provide high quality and cost-effective services, in the areas of e-governance, education, health, telemedicine, entertainment as well as other private services. The availability of government services through Khidmat centres is the primary objective of the CSC scheme. To that effect, possible service areas are listed below
Government to Customer Services: The

Government is to provide a number of services to Khidmat Centres, some of the key services envisaged include :
1) Land records
2) vehicle registration
3) issuances of certificates/government services
4) employment exchange
5) ration cards
6) electoral services
7) pension schemes
8) road transport
9) public grievances
10) utility/phone bills(Government Undertakings). Business to Customer Services: Under this category a lot of Services have been included. The Bank has tied up with M/S Suvidhaa Info serve Private Limited (SIPL), An ITES Company through which Khidmat Centers are offering following services:

2) Recharging
3) Matrimonial
4) Astrology
5) Shopping
6) Resumes
The bank is also going to provide telemedical services (primary health care), entertainment services such as DTH-community TV. Educational Services: Bank has entered into an MoU with IGNOU to designate Khidmat centers as IGNOU study centers. DOEACC society has also agreed to grant permission to Khidmat Centers for registration of candidates for DOEACC certified CCC course.The bank has entered into MoUs with various local organizations to provide their services to public through Khidmat Centres. These are Kashmir University, JKBOPEE, JKBOSE and DSEK. Business To Business Services: As the first step bank has designated Khidmat Centres as Authorized loan documentation centers for preparation of legal documents which became a first revenue generating service for VLEs.This service remains one of the main sources of income generation for most of the VLEs. The bank has also approved Khidmat Centres as Business Correspondents for utilizing their services for Financial Inclusion Programme. J&K bank for the purpose has tied up with FINO for providing smart cards to social security benefit account holders for collecting their payments from Khidmat centers. The other services under this category are advertising and promotion services including space marketing of CSC, Data collection services including research data collection & data entry and distribution of FMCG products. Telecom Services:: Bank has also tied up with telecom service provider AIRCEL for sale of its products and services through Khidmat Centres and is also roping in AIRTEL & BSNL for making their services available through Khidmat Centres.
