South NCR could get a major rapid transit push.

A proposed Namo Bharat corridor is being planned to connect Delhi, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh and Palwal, with reports suggesting a travel-time target of around 45–50 minutes between Delhi and Palwal.

The biggest watchpoint is Bata Chowk, which could become an important interchange point for Faridabad and the wider NCR network.

For Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Prithla and Palwal, this is a long-term connectivity signal — but it should be seen as a proposed corridor for now, not an under-construction update.

Delhi’s long-delayed Barapullah Phase-III corridor is finally moving towards completion.

As per reports, Delhi PWD has targeted June 30 to make the corridor ready for inauguration. Once operational, it is expected to improve movement between East Delhi / Mayur Vihar and AIIMS / South Delhi, giving daily commuters a faster and smoother route across the city.

Bareilly–Haldwani Greenfield Expressway is being planned as a major new connectivity corridor between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

According to reports, the proposed expressway will be around 100 km long and will help improve movement between Bareilly and Haldwani — one of the key entry points toward Kumaon.

Delhi’s TOD Policy has now been officially notified.

Under this policy, eligible land parcels near Metro corridors and major transit stations like RRTS, Railway and HSR can follow a new transit-oriented development framework.

The key highlight is the TOD Zone:
Metro corridors get a 500m influence corridor on either side, while major transit stations get a 500m radius node.

Eligible TOD plots must be at least 2,000 sq.m., have proper road access, and meet all policy conditions.

The FAR framework allows Base FAR 400 and maximum FAR 500, but FAR beyond 400 is subject to additional charges and approvals.

This is not a blanket permission for every property near Metro. It is a structured redevelopment policy for eligible plots inside defined TOD Zones.
