🚀 Will AI Stocks Drive a Boom in Indian Markets, or Will IT Stocks Suffer? 🤖💻
Will AI-driven shares see a surge in Indian markets? 🇮🇳📈 This is a big question, and the bigger question is whether IT stocks are going to face some losses. This is being asked because yesterday, Nvidia released its earnings in America, and the results were exceptionally strong with an even more stellar outlook and guidance! 📊🔥
So, what will the impact be? There are two main things:
The Global AI Boom & Correction: There was a massive hype around the AI trade in America, followed by major rallies in markets like Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. However, that momentum has cooled down significantly. Markets like Korea and Taiwan corrected by 30% to 40% from their peaks. The retail euphoria of "borrow money and invest in the market" has ended there, and those markets have now stabilized. The downside risk in those markets is lower now, and a mild upside is possible.
The Time Horizon: However, keep in mind that markets like Korea, Taiwan, and AI stocks have already seen their best times. Surpassing those peaks again will take a very long time—even a year or two wouldn't be surprising! ⏳
What Does This Mean for Indian IT? 📉🤝
When it comes to Indian IT companies, the common assumption is: "If AI stocks rise, IT stocks will fall." But remember, the worst phase for Indian IT companies is already behind us! Just as the best phase for Korea and Taiwan is past, the worst phase for Indian IT is also over. Day-to-day correlation-building with AI must stop, because AI and IT can actually coexist, and an immediate negative action isn't guaranteed.
That said, if you want to play the AI theme in India, data center plays and capital equipment companies (like Sterling and Wilson, G&W, L&T, Siemens, CG Power, etc.) are showing strong momentum.
