As part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026, Madhya Pradesh Regional Office organised a Vigilance Awareness Quiz, providing an interactive platform to reinforce awareness of principles, ethical conduct and individual responsibility in upholding the integrity of the organisation.

Emphasising the importance of vigilance in day-to-day functioning, Ms C. Saraswathi, Chief General Manager, NABARD, encouraged staff to strengthen their understanding of key provisions and practices, including the whistleblower policy, PIDPI and preventive vigilance measures.

झारखंड का भगैया हैंडलूम अपनी सादगी, रचनात्मकता और विशिष्ट डिज़ाइनों के लिए जाना जाता है । नाबार्ड के आर्थिक सहयोग और प्रशिक्षण से स्थानीय कारीगरों को नए डिज़ाइन और तकनीकें सीखने तथा अपने उत्पादों में विविधता लाने का अवसर मिला।

आम साड़ियों और कपड़े की थानों तक सीमित न रहकर आगे बढ़ते हुए, आज इन कारीगरों के उत्पादों में मधुबनी हैंड पेंटिंग और मीनाकारी जैसे नए डिज़ाइन शामिल हो गए हैं। नाबार्ड के सतत सहयोग से भगैया सिल्क को भौगोलिक संकेतक (GI) पहचान भी प्राप्त हुई; जिससे इस पारम्परिक कला को व्यापक पहचान और कारीगरों को बेहतर आजीविका के अवसर मिले।

नाबार्ड के 45 वर्षों की यात्रा का उत्सव ऐसी ही प्रेरक कहानियों को समर्पित है, जहाँ कौशल, नवाचार और सहयोग मिलकर आजीविका के नए अवसरों का निर्माण करते हैं।

NABARD 🤝🏼 IMD​
NABARD and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) have signed an MoU to integrate IMD’s agro-meteorological data products into DiCRA (Data in Climate Resilient Agriculture), making critical weather information freely accessible to farmers, financial institutions, policymakers and researchers.​

The integration will bring together IMD’s weather intelligence with DiCRA’s geospatial datasets, enabling decision-ready insights at the district and block levels. The collaboration will focus on:​
▶️ District and block-level weather forecasts​
▶️ Agrometeorological advisories and weather alerts​
▶️ In-situ weather observations​
▶️ Weather-linked vulnerability assessments and seasonal risk alerts​

The MoU was signed by Mr Sanjeev D. Rohilla, Chief General Manager, NABARD, and Mr Bikram Singh, Scientist-G & Head, RMC Mumbai, IMD, in the presence of Dr Shaji Krishnan V., Chairman, NABARD; Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, Director General of Meteorology, IMD; and senior officials from both organisations.​

NABARD organised a seminar on ‘Vigilance: Strengthening Integrity and Good Governance’ at its Head Office, Mumbai, as part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026.

Shri Suresh N. Patel, Former Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC), Government of India, was the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker. The seminar was attended by Mr Goverdhan S. Rawat and Dr Ajay K. Sood, Deputy Managing Directors, NABARD, and Mr U Dinesh Shanbhag, Chief Vigilance Officer.

Mr Rawat emphasised the preventive role of vigilance, highlighting robust systems and procedures as the cornerstone of effective preventive vigilance.

Delivering the keynote address, Shri Suresh N. Patel shared insights on ethical governance, institutional integrity and public trust, with a focus on banking fraud, complaint handling, prudent management of NPAs, adherence to established systems and procedures, and robust appraisal standards.

The seminar reaffirmed NABARD’s commitment to transparency, accountability and the highest standards of ethical governance in fulfilling its developmental mandate.

NABARD 🤝🏼 NaBFID

NABARD and NaBFID have signed a strategic MoU to strengthen collaboration on infrastructure projects with strong rural impact. On the occasion, Dr Shaji Krishnan V., Chairman, NABARD, highlighted the potential to advance financially sustainable rural infrastructure and bridge the rural-urban divide. Mr Rajkiran Rai G, Managing Director, NaBFID, signified the opportunity to build bankable projects that strengthen rural incomes.

The collaboration will focus on:
* Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects
* Agri-value chains
* Rural infrastructure

The MoU was signed in the presence of Ms Monika Kalia, Deputy Managing Director & CFO, NaBFID; Mr Goverdhan S. Rawat and Dr Ajay K. Sood, Deputy Managing Directors, NABARD; along with senior officials from both institutions.
