Rural development is about giving people the opportunity to build a better life. In a village in North Karnataka, that meant looking beyond a single challenge and asking a bigger question: What would it take for an entire community to grow?

The answer was not one intervention. It was many small but meaningful changes, brought together through the Integrated Village Development Program by CMS Foundation and Manuvikasa.

Together, they worked alongside communities to improve agriculture, strengthen livelihoods, empower women, create educational opportunities, and make healthcare more accessible: This resulted in:
- Rejuvenation of 26 lakes, creating 181,144 m³ of water storage
- Improved irrigation across 3,361 acres of land
- Increased farmers’ annual income from ₹25,000 to ₹40,000
- Training of 438 women in sustainable agriculture, 38 women in advanced tailoring, 175 women in catering, 30 women in poultry farming and 1,236 women in digital literacy
- Establishment of 11 learning centres for 300 children
- Treatment of 944 patients through healthcare camps and establishment of 20 free cataract treatment centres

FY26 was the year CMS accelerated the transformation by pushing forward the platform approach, funding acquisitions, and taking Technology & Payment Solutions past 16% of services revenue, all through a difficult market environment. None of it ran on goodwill; it ran on a core business that generates the free cash flow to fund growth and still return capital to shareholders.

We also spent where it counts, ₹40 Cr on technology in FY26, extending a track record of outspending competitors on the tech capability behind our scale, margin, and returns. Our three platforms; ATM Management Solutions, Retail Solutions & Currency Logistics, and Technology & Payment Solutions, each operating in its own market, on its own economics, now moving in the same direction. The CMSINFO listed in 2021 no longer exists. FY26 was the year we transformed it and FY27 is when that work shows up in the numbers.
