In FY23 India got FDI equity inflow from other country of $46 billion.
Same in FY 24 (up to 6 months 30 September) India received $20 billion in FDI equity Inflow.

Do you know in India why Gujarat comes among the top states that attract FDI? Between October 2022 and March 2023, Gujarat achieved the highest FDI of $31 billion which is Rs 2.39 lac crore. There was a tremendous hike in FDI (i.e. 84% ) in 2022-23 in Gujarat.

FDI shrinks 7.8% in second quarter of FY24
Foreign direct investment (FDI) equity inflows in India declined 7.7% to $9.5 billion in the July-September quarter of FY24, down from $10.3 billion a year ago. The total FDI inflows declined 7.8% to $15.3 billion in the second quarter of this fiscal year. Services sector attracted the highest inflow $3.8 billion. Computer hardware and software, Infrastructure sector got $2.4 billion each. At the state level Maharashtra received the highest inflow of $7.9 billion in the last quarter.
