DAILY TRADING BITES

NIFTY SPOT

The Nifty ended in a red with a loss of 22 points in line with our expectations. Yesterday’s decline has further strengthened the sell signal in the index. Next immediate support is pegged at 8190 on breach of which it can tumble down to 8150 levels.
RSI on the hourly scale is in line with the chart pattern.

CURRENCIES

USDINR (62.37)

The party seems to be getting over for INR as in line with our view yesterday the pair USDINR has confirmed the signals of a minor pullback. The pair closed in green after quite long.

As shown in the daily chart, the pair has found support exactly at 89 – Day EMA. Further the cluster of reversal candlestick pattern indicates that above 62.45 level we can see a decent recovery in pair towards 63.00 mark in the coming sessions.

DERRIVATIVES

Market Round Update

A surprise announcement by Central bank to cut repo rate by 25 bps early this morning will help markets to open on positive note and thereafter short covering in banking and interest rate related sector will help markets to rally further. On higher side call writing at 8500 will act as major resistance for nifty in short term.

Nifty Spot

Yesterday was a complete shocker for our markets as the benchmark indices collapsed more than 3% during the session (a biggest loss in past 5 years). Further fall in crude prices and nervousness in Euro zone dampened the sentiments. Now technically most of the positive signals have been negated as markets are running on panic. On the downside, 8080 – 8050 could act as a support for Nifty spot whereas in case of any pullback 8150 will remain a strong resistance for the index.
