SBI Pension Funds' press conference in Ahmedabad saw strong media turnout, with several leading media houses in attendance. Mr Pranay Ranjan Dwivedi MD & CEO ( ) , SBI Pension Funds, addressed the media on pension awareness and the importance of informed retirement planning—advancing the vision of , including in Gujarat.

Mr Dwivedi highlighted NPS as a long-term retirement savings avenue and shared insights into its potential to address the needs of Gujarat’s workforce, particularly the large segment outside formal pension coverage. He emphasised how NPS can provide informal, self-employed and gig workers with a structured and accessible pathway to build financial security for their retirement.

He also touched on some of NPS's latest features—NPS Tatkal for quick account opening, the Multiple Scheme Framework for greater choice, and new asset classes such as AIFs, REITs, InvITs, and Gold ETFs for portfolio diversification, along with PFRDA's role in regulating India's pension ecosystem.
As Gujarat's economy continues to grow, NPS can help individuals build a structured, market-linked retirement corpus.
