Equity funds recorded net inflows of ₹33,430 crore, marking the 54th consecutive month of positive flows.

Large-cap funds saw robust inflows of ₹2,835 crore in August, up from ₹2,125 crore in July. Mid-cap funds drew ₹5,330 crore, while small-cap funds saw investments ease to ₹4,993 crore, a 23% decline.

Overall, the mutual fund industry’s assets under management (AUM) stood at ₹75.18 lakh crore in August 2025.

Quantity Freeze Limits refer to the maximum order size allowed for a particular F&O contract. These limits prevent huge or mistaken orders from affecting the market.

The GST panel has approved the simplification of the current four slabs, 5%, 12%, 18%, and 28% to a two-rate structure of 5% and 18%, effective 22nd September 2025.

GST has been increased on the following goods:

1. GST raised on carbonated drinks from 28% to 40%
2. GST raised on non-alcoholic beverages from 18% to 40%
3. GST raised on goods containing added sugar, sweeteners, flavoured or aerated waters from 28% to 40%
