Conversations around leadership, entrepreneurship & transformation have never been more important. Even more so in todays topsy turvy world. And is a particularly pet thesis of Alize Capital.

Whose strap line could well be

"Growth With Leadership"

Contributing to this larger dialogue, Probir Roy, will be joining the Lead Her Leadership Summit 2026 as a Distinguished Speaker alongside other leaders, entrepreneurs and changemakers shaping the future.

As conversations around Viksit Bharat accelerate, the summit brings focus to the growing role of women leaders across finance, technology, entrepreneurship, sustainability, media and governance.

Session Topic :

Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC): Cybersecurity, Ethics & Corporate Accountability - Is India Inc Ready?

An important and timely discussion exploring how organisations are navigating accountability, digital risk, ethics, and governance in an increasingly complex business environment.

We look forward to meaningful two way conversation.

Ex*****on is underrated.

Even the legendary Jack Welch treated it as the real differentiator, not strategy alone.

Because a brilliant strategy means little without the discipline to deliver it.
When ex*****on is strong, it speaks.

Before words do.
No dependence on luck.
No performance theatre.
No borrowed belief.

And when something cannot prove for itself.
It starts looking for an alibi - asking faith to do the heavy lifting.

Sometimes the most important shift isn’t in capital or ambition, but in how the ecosystem chooses to organise itself.

That was the real signal through the conversations around The Capital Soirée in Mumbai. 🌆

The $1 trillion narrative is no longer aspirational—it’s being actively architected. But what became evident is that scale will not come from more deals alone. It will come from sharper alignment between capital, founders and institutions, and a more mature understanding of how value compounds over time.

From rethinking capital flows and exits to unpacking the subtle dynamics of founder–investor relationships, the panel discussion pointed to a deeper truth—

There are four types of Power Dynamics in the Startup world.

▪︎ Amongst and Between Founders
▪︎ Founders and Investors
▪︎ Founders-Investors- Markets
▪︎ Founders - New owners

What's common amongst these is Trust, Mutual Respect and Amicability for outcomes to be WIN WIN WIN 🤝

Else the opposite attributes with opposite result. 🚀

We set out to shake the tree. What emerged was 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. 🌱

Building a $𝟏 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 isn’t just about capital; it’s about stakeholders moving together.
𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, and 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 need to be on the same page.

India has the potential — hundreds of unicorns, millions of jobs — but it will require deeper domestic capital, better exits, and patient conviction. 🚀

At the core, it comes down to relationships. Founder–investor dynamics aren’t built on term sheets alone, but on 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟. When that clicks, outcomes follow and partnerships last far beyond the deal. 🤝

Deal flow whether raises, M&A, IPO, FPO QIP, warrants/bonds, etc. don't all happen in a vacuum or roll of dice, or all at once!
The mechanics and drill to make this happen is detailed, long & tedious, more often than not - nuanced.
And like a dance of a butterfly! 🦋

Thrilling it may be. But not for the faint of mind, or weak of heart!

Bankers, investors and entrepreneurs do an intricate interplay so that all these stakeholders stand to gain! 🤝

It's one of those few ecosystems where the "Ecosystem" itself is the Winner. And Winner doesn't take it all! 🚀

At the exclusive Capital Soiree meet on 10th April, 2026 in Mumbai with a curated set of invitees & agenda, we gather to discuss "Can Indian Capital create a US$ 1 trillion startup ecosystem by 2030". The event is hosted by Alize Capital.

Governance is yet again in the news.
Everytime a Public listed marquee institution/blue chip Co or Financial Institution is found to be in some transgression. The 'G' word gets lot of play in the media. Whilst the actual parties assume a confident lay of the land. "All is well"

What is Governance? What’s its role?

𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 is the strap line for Alize Capital.
While Governance tempers Growth, Growth for Growth sake is specious. Many may give two hoots to this credo. Arguing Growth trumps anything. And is best for stakeholders value, and for the markets in a symmetric info driven system.

Not so.
In a recent CII Governance Summit Nitin Gupta Chairman NFRA amongst others spoke about the “𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐝.”
It's when FPIs and FIIs and other investors which even include the local Joe decide to buy a stock or invest their or other people's money in a cos prospects, based on

1. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐮𝐧 (𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭) and how they will ensure proper use of capital and resources at its disposal to return value over time (𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧)
2. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 (𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲)
3. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲
4. 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, Specially how IDs conduct themselves - at arms length of mgt & owners interests. Yet aligned & supportive to goals, objectives & values (𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭)
So, Role of Boards is Governance.

And while Governance is indeed a noun. The very act of Governing to ensure Governance is kinetic. not just tick boxes in Times Roman!

In Indian culture, especially in the professional world, most conversations about 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞 stop at the word itself, if at all mentioned in the first place. Actually, the more useful conversation starts after it.

Failure, in reality, is rarely the end of a path. It's probably the 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. It is 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Data about what did not work, why it did not work, and what needs to change next. The real return comes from how quickly that insight is absorbed and applied. 📊

In building companies, backing ideas, and shaping new markets, the difference between stagnation and progress is often the willingness to treat outcomes as learning cycles rather than verdicts. 🚀

Because the real derivative of failure isn’t regret or sadness or remorse. It’s 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 & 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.💡

The conversations at the 𝐀𝐈 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐡𝐢 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 may have ended, but the real story is just beginning. 🚀

Behind the headlines on AI and humanoid robots lies a powerful technological triad: 𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐬. Chips powering intelligence. Solenoids enabling motion. Humanoids translating both into real-world action. 🤖

Today, semiconductors already underpin a trillion-dollar global ecosystem — driving everything from smartphones and servers to digital infrastructure and advanced manufacturing. At the same time, humanoid robots are rapidly moving from viral videos to real industrial deployment, with projections pointing to 𝐚 $𝟓 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞.

And quietly at the center of this evolution are the precision components that make motion, control and automation possible — solenoids, valves and actuators.

When 𝐀𝐈, 𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞, the implications go far beyond technology headlines. From manufacturing floors and logistics hubs to healthcare, security and everyday life, we may soon move from co-working spaces to 𝐜𝐨-𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐬. ⚙️

The future may look humanoid on the surface.
But its true heartbeat will still be 𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭.
The question is no longer if this convergence will reshape industries — but how fast it will happen.
