Your business may have grown, but has your insurance coverage grown with it?
This is a common challenge across industries, but it can become especially important for Tea Gardens and F&B businesses.
A Tea Garden may have multiple assets including factories, machinery, warehouses, labour lines, vehicles and stock. Each comes with its own set of risks and insurance considerations.
Similarly, in a restaurant or F&B business, kitchen equipment, interiors, inventory and business operations can change rapidly.
The problem arises when the business grows, assets are added and replacement costs increase, but the valuation and insurance coverage remain unchanged.
At the time of a claim, inadequate or outdated coverage can create unexpected challenges.
As Devesh Sonthalia, CEO, SFIC Group, explains, insurance planning should not be treated as a one-time activity. Regular review of your assets, valuation and coverage is an important part of business risk management.
