CBDT amends Rule 12 to make changes and notify ITR for AY 2017-18
-- ITR 1(Sahaj) simplified
-- ITR 4s replaced by ITR 4(Sugam)
-- ITR 2,2A,3&4 replaced by ITR 2 & 3
-- Individuals & HUFs to file ITR electronically only, except- Very senior citizen or having income less than 5 lakhs and not claiming refund and file ITR 1 or 4.

Direct Tax Collections up to February, 2017 show Growth of 10.7%
The Direct tax collections up to February, 2017 continues to show a steady
growth trend. The collection net of refunds stands at Rs. 6.17 lakh crore which
is 10.7 % more than the net collections for the corresponding period last year.
This collection is 72.9 % of the total Budget Estimates for Direct Taxes for
Financial Year 2016-17.
