We are nearing the end of 2021. As we step into the new year, 2022, its time to sit back and reflect on a few things and answer the following questions:
1. Do you have your long term investment goals in place?
2. Do you have a term insurance in place?
3. Do you have an emergency fund (at least 6 times your monthly expenses) ready?
4. How much have you progressed on your long term investment portfolio from what it was on 01-01-2021?
If you are satisfied with the answers to the above questions, then you are on track. If not, you need to start taking the steps now. You may have thought you will invest in direct mutual funds and save on the extra charges of regular funds. But, have you really invested?
You may have thought that now you do not have the money to invest. You will invest when you have. Think again!! If you cannot save now for investing, how will you survive post retirement when you do not have an income? Starting early means starting with small amounts. Delays can surmount and be catastrophic.
So, do give it a thought and get started on your investments or if you have started, do sort it out as per your goals.
