How to earn money from idle funds ?

Excess funds lying idle in Bank Current Accounts can easily be invested in Money Market or Liquid Fund MF Schemes to earn short term income .
In these schemes the funds are invested in short term maturity instruments like Money Market Securities , which has a low risk profile .
The expense ratio charged by MF houses for investing in Liquid Schemes is very low and is capped at 1.05% .
No Exit load is charged if the investments are held and not redeemed before 6 to 7 days . Even if the redemption is done before 1 Week the Exit Load is very low and is capped at 0.006%.
However for redemption before 3 Years , the income earned will be taxed under Short Term Capital Gains .
Short term secured income can be earned by putting Extra Funds in Liquid Mutual Fund Schemes .
