The current tax rate of SUVs,Sedan and Luxury Cars is 43%. It all set to increase to 53% due to government decision to hike cess on these Vehicles.

When you earn money you have to Pay income tax.
When you spend money you have to Pay GST.

Income tax is paid by you directly to Government, that is why it is called Direct Taxes
But GST is paid by you to Shop owner, he then pays it to Government. That is why it is called Indirect taxes.

Are you sure that whatever you paid as GST in the bill is in turn paid to Government? You can not be 100% Sure.
Collecting taxes from consumers and not paying it to Government is Cheating consumers.

The only way to make it sure is to pay by Cheque/Neft/Credit Card/Debit Card/Wallet
