The Companies Act, 2013 has been marked as a Historic legislation in Indian Corporate World.

The act stipulates Compliance in its every page and if the Company Secretaries are kept away from 90% of the Companies in India, how does the Act be,what it is expected to deliver in true letter and spirit.

A-B-C of Compliance should be Taught when a new Company is registered, not when it becomes a Huge Conglomerate.

As the very basic truth of the world - "Its best to teach good habits when you are a child" the same should be followed here for Companies, not when they have grown with all the Non Compliance style of functioning, but compliance from start for a better Corporate culture in the Country and hence to Eradicate Corruption and thereby to safeguard the Economy.

We Indians still follow UK Law, Company Secretary Service is Compulsory for every company in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, China.

Time has come for India to take lead and show the world of the Importance of Complying with Compliance of Applicable laws.

Hence secretarial compliances should be mandated for all companies in India!

The new era in Corporate world has dawned!

Companies Act, 2013 is a landmark legislation that will have a wide ranging impact on Corporate India.

The Companies Act purports to deal with relevant themes such as investor protection, inclusive agenda, fraud mitigation, internal control, director responsibility and efficient restructuring.

Time has come for Indian Companies to closely EXAMINE these developments to have a Clear strategy at ensuring COMPLIANCE as per the new Act.

MCA Circular on the use of the Word "National in the names of Companies and LLP's.

Circular 2/2014 of MCA below:-

It has come to the knowledge of Ministry that Companies / Limited Liability Partnerships are being registered with the word 'National' in their names. It is being intimated that no company should be allowed to be registered with the word .National' as part of its title unless it is a govemment company and the Central / State govemment(s) has a stake in it. This should be stringently enforced by all Registrar of Companies (ROCs) while registering companies. Similarly, the word ,Bank' may be allowed in the name of an entity only when such entity produces a .No Objection Certificate' from the RBI in this regard. By the same analogy the word,,stock Exchange" or "Exchange" should be allowed in name of a compary only where ,No Objection Certificate' fron SEBI in this regard is produced by the promoters.
