What is Bitcoin halving?
Bitcoin halving is a built-in event where the reward miners get for validating blocks is cut in half.
It happens roughly every 4 years (every 210,000 blocks).
Bitcoin halving is a built-in supply shock that reshapes market structure over time, not instantly.
Before halving, supply flows normally. Miners receive full rewards and regularly sell into the market, creating consistent selling pressure. Price action is usually slow and range-bound. This phase feels boring, but it’s where accumulation happens. Smart money builds positions quietly while retail waits for momentum.
After halving, the real shift begins. Block rewards are cut in half, meaning new BTC entering the market drops sharply. This creates a supply shock—less sell pressure from miners. However, demand doesn’t surge immediately, so price can stay choppy at first.
