दार्जिलिङ जिल्ला सेन्ट्रल को-अपरेटिभ बैंकद्वारा ऐतिहासिक सफलता: एम-बैंकिङ (M-Banking) लाइसेन्स प्राप्त

दार्जिलिङ जिल्ला सेन्ट्रल को-अपरेटिभ बैंक लिमिटेडले आफ्नो इतिहासमा एक नयाँ र ऐतिहासिक कोसेढुङ्गा पार गर्दै भारतीय रिभर्ज बैंक (RBI) बाट मोबाइल बैंकिङ (M-Banking) को आधिकारिक लाइसेन्स प्राप्त गरेको छ। पूर्वका तीनवटा आवेदन रद्द भएपछि, बैंकको वर्तमान सञ्चालक समिति र व्यवस्थापनको अथक प्रयासपछि यो सफलता हासिल भएको हो।
नयाँ सञ्चालक समितिले नोभेम्बर २०२५ मा अध्यक्ष केशवराज पोखरेलको नेतृत्वमा कार्यभार सम्हालेपछि बैंकलाई आधुनिक प्रविधिसँग जोड्ने कार्यलाई प्राथमिकता दिएको थियो। व्यवस्थापनको तीव्र र सटीक तयारीको परिणामस्वरूप, १६ जुलाई २०२६ मा पेश गरिएको आवेदनलाई RBI ले मात्र ४२ दिनभित्र स्वीकृति प्रदान गरेको छ। यो द्रुत स्वीकृति बैंकको पारदर्शी कार्यशैली र सुदृढ तयारीको प्रमाण हो।
यस ऐतिहासिक र हर्षोल्लासको अवसरमा बैंकका अध्यक्ष केशवराज पोखरेल तथा सञ्चालक समितिले बैंकप्रति निरन्तर विश्वास र सहयोग राख्ने सबै सरोकारवालाहरूप्रति हार्दिक आभार प्रकट गरेका छन्।

Darjeeling District Central Cooperative Bank Achieves Historic Milestone with RBI Approval for Mobile Banking License
DARJEELING — In a landmark achievement for the regional banking sector, the Darjeeling District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. has officially been granted a Mobile Banking (M-Banking) license by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This historic breakthrough comes after three previous rejections, marking a major leap forward in modernizing financial services for the region.
The turnaround began when the current board assumed charge under the chairmanship of Mr. Keshav Raj Pokhrel in November 2025. Prioritizing digital transformation, the new board meticulously revamped the bank's operational framework. Following rigorous preparation, the bank formally submitted its application on July 16, 2026. Demonstrating high standards of compliance and pinpoint accuracy, the application received RBI approval in a record time of just 42 days.
On this auspicious occasion, the Bank Management extends its deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to its core supporters:
190,000 Account Holders: For their unwavering trust and loyalty over the years.
3,800 Salary Account Holders: For relying on the bank for their daily financial needs.
370 Member Societies: Including 76 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), which form the backbone of the cooperative network.
With the launch of M-Banking services, account holders will soon enjoy secure, seamless, and convenient digital banking right from their smartphones. The leadership reaffirms its commitment to building a modern, transparent, and customer-centric cooperative bank for the entire region.
