We do too. and it haunts us.
India has over 10 million street vendors most of them have no savings, no safety net, no one documenting their story. One bad week, a medical emergency, a fine, a rainout and everything falls apart.
They built their lives with their hands and least we can do is show up for them.

Imagine sitting down for a meal and finding dog meat served on your dining table. The very thought is enough to shake anyone to their core. The fear, the disgust, the heartbreak- because dogs are not food, they are innocent souls capable of love, loyalty, and trust.

Yet for more than 100 rescued dogs, this horrifying fate was once a terrifying reality. At certain places in the North East, these voiceless animals were being trapped and pushed into the brutal dog meat trade.

Their mouths were tied so tightly they could barely breathe. Some were trembling inside sacks, waiting to be slaughtered.

This was the very first rescue by JBF Trust and even after 23 years, the horror of that day still hasn’t faded. Since then, they have spent every single day saving abandoned and abused dogs from cruelty, hunger, and death.

But today, the rescuers who never gave up are struggling to feed them, heal them, and keep them safe. Every donation can become food in an empty bowl, medicine for a wounded soul, and a second chance at life.

Shivam should be spending his days in school, playing with friends, and dreaming big. Instead, this 2nd-grade child is fighting a painful battle against a rapidly growing cancerous tumour.

What began with bleeding behind his ears has now turned into an open, exposed wound causing unbearable pain every single day. His parents, daily wage labourers, have exhausted everything while searching for treatment.

Shivam urgently needs a life-saving surgery that his family cannot afford.
