🚨 ₹2,00,000 CRORE SIP MONEY — BUT ARE INVESTORS USING SIP CORRECTLY?

India’s SIP habit has become massive.

But starting a SIP is only Step 1.

The bigger question is:

Are you using your SIP as a wealth-building strategy — or simply as a monthly auto-debit?

Consider this simple example 👇

💰 ₹20,000/month SIP

At an assumed 12% annualised return:

• 10 years → ~₹46 lakh
• 15 years → ~₹1 crore
• 20 years → ~₹2 crore
• 25 years → ~₹3.8 crore

But there’s a catch.

❌ 5 SIP mistakes investors make

1️⃣ SIP without a goal
Retirement, child’s education, home purchase and wealth creation need different time horizons.

2️⃣ Never increasing the SIP
A ₹20,000 SIP may look large today, but inflation keeps reducing its purchasing power.

3️⃣ Stopping during market falls
A falling market can mean more units are accumulated for the same SIP amount.

4️⃣ Choosing funds only because of past returns
Yesterday’s top performer may not remain tomorrow’s top performer.

5️⃣ No portfolio review
Your income, goals, risk capacity and time horizon change — your portfolio may need to change too.

📈 The smarter approach

START → STAY INVESTED → STEP UP → REVIEW → REBALANCE

For example:

₹20,000/month SIP

+ 10% annual step-up
+ 25 years
= potentially far more wealth than keeping the SIP fixed.

(Illustrations assume 12% annualised returns. Actual returns are market-linked and will vary.)

The real power of SIP isn't the ₹20,000.

It is:

TIME + DISCIPLINE + INCREASING CONTRIBUTIONS.

SIP is not a magic product.

It is a process.

👉 Are you simply running a SIP — or actually using it as part of a wealth plan?

20/09/2026

🚨 ₹10 LAKH HEALTH INSURANCE ≠ ₹10 LAKH PROTECTION

Imagine this:

🏥 Hospital Bill: ₹13,00,000
🛡️ Health Insurance: ₹10,00,000

Does that automatically mean you pay ₹3,00,000?

Not necessarily.

Your actual out-of-pocket expense can be more than ₹3 lakh depending on your policy terms.

Here’s why 👇

1️⃣ Deductible
If your policy has a ₹1 lakh deductible, the insurer may start paying only after that amount is borne by you.

2️⃣ Co-pay
Suppose your policy has a 20% co-pay.

On an admissible ₹10 lakh claim:
➡️ Insurer pays ₹8 lakh
➡️ You pay ₹2 lakh

3️⃣ Room-Rent Limit
Your policy may cover only a specified room category.

Choose a more expensive room and some associated expenses can also be proportionately affected, depending on the policy wording.

4️⃣ Sub-Limits
Certain treatments may have separate limits.

For example:
₹10 lakh total cover ≠ ₹10 lakh available for every individual treatment.

5️⃣ Non-Payable Expenses
Items such as certain consumables, administrative charges and other non-medical expenses may not be covered.

₹13 LAKH BILL — WHAT CAN HAPPEN?

₹13,00,000 Hospital Bill
↓
Less non-payable expenses
↓
Less deductible, if applicable
↓
Less co-pay, if applicable
↓
Policy-specific limits/sub-limits
↓
Final insurer payout

So the real question isn't:

❌ “How much is my health cover?”

It is:

✅ “How much of a hospital bill will my policy actually pay?”

Before buying or renewing health insurance, check these 6 things:

✔️ Sum insured
✔️ Deductible
✔️ Co-pay
✔️ Room-rent/ICU limits
✔️ Disease/treatment sub-limits
✔️ Exclusions & non-payable expenses

₹10 lakh on the policy document can look reassuring.

But the fine print determines your actual protection.

💬 Would you check your policy today if you knew a ₹10 lakh cover could still leave you with a significant out-of-pocket bill?

🚨 ₹1 CRORE PENALTY. ONE BIG INSURANCE LESSON.

A recent IRDAI regulatory action has put insurance suitability and policyholder protection back in focus.

On 10 September 2026, IRDAI imposed a ₹1 crore penalty on Canara HSBC Life Insurance over certain lapses concerning policyholder interests. The action followed a show-cause notice issued in March 2026 in connection with concerns around the sale of a policy.

🔎 WHAT HAPPENED?

The case involved a deferred annuity policy sold through Canara Bank to an 88-year-old proposer.

The reported policy details included:

• Annual premium: ₹2 lakh
• Policy term: 4 years
• Total premium: ₹8 lakh

The insurer subsequently refunded ₹4.09 lakh to the policyholder, according to reporting on the regulatory action.

IRDAI also directed an audit of policies sold through Canara Bank to customers above 75 years of age during the three financial years ending 31 March 2026.

⚠️ THE BIGGER LESSON

Buying insurance is not simply about:

“How much premium do I pay?”

The more important questions are:

1️⃣ Is the product suitable for my age and objective?

2️⃣ Who actually receives the benefits?

3️⃣ What is my TOTAL premium commitment?

4️⃣ What exactly does the benefit illustration show?

5️⃣ Who is the nominee / annuitant / beneficiary?

💡 ESPECIALLY FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

A product being offered through a bank branch does not automatically mean it is the right product for the customer.

Before signing, ask for:

✅ Product brochure
✅ Benefit illustration
✅ Total premium payable
✅ Guaranteed vs non-guaranteed benefits
✅ Surrender / exit conditions
✅ Nominee and beneficiary details
✅ Written explanation of why the product suits the customer's objective

🧠 WEALTH MANAGEMENT IS NOT JUST ABOUT RETURNS

For a ₹1 crore, ₹5 crore or ₹10 crore family portfolio, insurance suitability is part of wealth protection.

The wrong insurance product can lock capital for years.

The right question isn't:

“Can I buy this policy?”

It is:

“Does this policy fit my financial objective?”

📌 Review your family's insurance policies—not just the premium, but the purpose behind each policy.

🙏 THIS GANESH CHATURTHI, DON’T JUST PRAY FOR WEALTH. PLAN FOR IT.

Ganesh Chaturthi reminds us of something powerful:

Wisdom comes before prosperity.

The same principle applies to wealth management.

💰 Earn well — but know where your money is going.
📈 Invest regularly — but invest with a purpose.
🛡️ Protect your wealth — through adequate insurance and contingency planning.
📊 Diversify wisely — instead of collecting too many investments.
🎯 Plan for goals — retirement, children, business, legacy.
🧠 Control emotions — because poor financial decisions often cost more than poor investments.

The biggest wealth obstacle isn't always the market.

Sometimes it is:

❌ No financial plan
❌ Unnecessary debt
❌ Poor asset allocation
❌ Overconcentration
❌ Lifestyle inflation
❌ Emotional investing

This Ganesh Chaturthi, make one financial resolution:

REMOVE ONE WEALTH OBSTACLE.

Maybe increase your SIP.
Maybe review your insurance.
Maybe rebalance your portfolio.
Maybe start your retirement planning.
Maybe simply stop investing without a plan.

Because wealth isn't created by one big decision.

It is created by making the right decisions consistently for years.

🌺 May Lord Ganesha bless you with wisdom, prosperity and financial abundance.

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi! 🐘🙏

What is the one financial obstacle you want to remove this year?

10/09/2026

₹25,000 TO ₹2 LAKH SALARY — WHAT SHOULD YOUR SIP BE?

There is no “perfect SIP amount.”

But a simple starting framework is to invest around 20–25% of your take-home income toward long-term goals.

Here’s what that could look like:

💰 ₹25,000 salary
👉 SIP: ₹5,000–₹6,250/month

💰 ₹50,000 salary
👉 SIP: ₹10,000–₹12,500/month

💰 ₹75,000 salary
👉 SIP: ₹15,000–₹18,750/month

💰 ₹1,00,000 salary
👉 SIP: ₹20,000–₹25,000/month

💰 ₹1,50,000 salary
👉 SIP: ₹30,000–₹37,500/month

💰 ₹2,00,000 salary
👉 SIP: ₹40,000–₹50,000/month

THE SIMPLE RULE:

20–25% OF TAKE-HOME INCOME → INVESTMENT

But don't blindly follow a percentage.

Your actual SIP should also consider:

• Emergency fund
• Health & term insurance
• Existing EMIs
• Children's education
• Retirement goals
• Short-term financial commitments
• Risk appetite

And there's one more important rule:

WHEN YOUR SALARY GOES UP, YOUR SIP SHOULD TOO.

If your income increases from ₹50,000 → ₹75,000 → ₹1 lakh, don't let your SIP remain stuck at ₹10,000.

Consider a 10% annual SIP step-up as your income grows.

Because wealth creation isn't only about starting a SIP.

It's about increasing your investment capacity over time.

The right SIP is one that you can sustain, increase and stay invested with.

What percentage of your monthly income do you currently invest?

Most people review their insurance only when the policy is up for renewal.

That may be too late.

Your insurance requirement is not fixed for life.

A ₹1 crore cover that looked sufficient 5 years ago may no longer be enough after:

🔹 Marriage → New financial responsibilities
🔹 Childbirth → Education + future expenses
🔹 Buying a home → Large outstanding loan
🔹 Income increase → Higher lifestyle & wealth goals
🔹 New dependants → More people depending on your income
🔹 Business/job change → Different financial risks
🔹 Growing assets → Different protection requirements

Here’s the simple rule:

Review your protection whenever your responsibilities change.

And ideally, do a complete insurance review at least once a year.

Check 5 things:

1️⃣ Life insurance
Is your current cover sufficient for your family's future expenses + liabilities?

2️⃣ Health insurance
Has your family's medical cover kept pace with rising healthcare costs?

3️⃣ Outstanding loans
Would your family be financially comfortable if your income stopped tomorrow?

4️⃣ Dependants
Have new responsibilities been added since you last reviewed your policies?

5️⃣ Income & lifestyle
Has your income increased significantly while your insurance remained unchanged?

The biggest mistake?

Increasing investments while keeping protection unchanged.

Building ₹2 crore of wealth is great.

But if your family depends on your ₹30–40 lakh annual income, protecting that income is equally important.

Insurance isn't something you buy once.
It's something you review as your life evolves.

👉 Marriage? Review.
👉 Child? Review.
👉 Home loan? Review.
👉 Income jump? Review.
👉 New responsibilities? Review.

Your financial plan should grow with your life.

What was the last major life event after which you reviewed your insurance?

THE ₹20,000 SIP TRAP

₹20,000/month sounds like a serious investment.

But keeping it at ₹20,000 forever could be the mistake.

Suppose you invest:

₹20,000/month × 25 years

At an assumed 12% annual return:

₹3.76 CRORE

Now change just one thing.

Increase your SIP by 10% every year.

Potential corpus:

₹8.47 CRORE

That's nearly:

₹4.71 CRORE MORE

You didn't find a better investment.

You didn't increase your return assumption.

You simply allowed your investment to grow with your income.

Think about it:

Year 1: ₹20,000/month
Year 5: ~₹29,000/month
Year 10: ~₹47,000/month
Year 15: ~₹76,000/month
Year 20: ~₹1.22 lakh/month

That's the power of a Step-Up SIP.

Your salary is unlikely to remain the same for 25 years.

So why should your SIP?

**DON'T JUST START A SIP.

MAKE YOUR SIP GROW.**

Illustration assumes 12% annual return and a 10% annual SIP increase. Returns are not guaranteed.

YOUR EPF + NPS MAY NOT BE ENOUGH TO RETIRE

₹2.41 CRORE AT 60. SOUNDS GREAT, RIGHT?

Not so fast.

Here’s a simple retirement example for a 35-year-old salaried professional:

💰 Current EPF: ₹10 lakh
💰 EPF contribution: ₹12,000/month
💰 NPS contribution: ₹10,000/month
⏳ Time to retirement: 25 years

Assuming:

EPF → 8.25%
NPS → 10%

The projected corpus at 60:

EPF → ₹1.23 crore
NPS → ₹1.18 crore

TOTAL → ₹2.41 CRORE

Looks impressive.

But then comes the number most people ignore:

INFLATION.

At 6% inflation:

₹1 crore 25 years from now ≈ ₹23 lakh in today's purchasing power.

And if your lifestyle costs ₹1 lakh/month today, the same lifestyle could cost around:

₹4.3 LAKH/MONTH AT 60

That’s the real retirement challenge.

Your EPF and NPS can build a strong foundation.

But they may not be the entire retirement solution.

The missing piece is:

RETIREMENT GAP = What you have − What you actually need

So don't ask:

❌ “How much will my EPF + NPS become?”

Ask:

✅ “Will my retirement corpus support the lifestyle I want?”

Calculate the gap early.
You have time on your side.

🎁 THIS RAKHI, GIVE HER A GIFT THAT CAN LAST A LIFETIME.

What if a ₹5,000 Rakhi gift could potentially become ₹79 lakh?

Instead of spending ₹5,000 on a gift every Rakhi, imagine investing ₹5,000 every year for 25 years.

At an assumed 12% annual return, that small annual investment could grow to approximately ₹79 lakh.

The real gift isn't just the money.

It's the possibility of giving her:

💰 Financial security
📈 A wealth-building foundation
🎯 Freedom to pursue her dreams
🛡️ A financial safety net
🌱 Greater financial independence

And that's the beauty of compounding.

Small amounts. Long time. Big difference.

This Raksha Bandhan, don't just give her something she can enjoy today.

Give her something that can strengthen her tomorrow. ❤️

Would you choose a ₹5,000 gift today—or a ₹79 lakh financial head start for her future?

Illustration: ₹5,000 invested annually for 25 years at an assumed 12% CAGR. Approximate value; actual market returns may vary. This is not a guaranteed return.

25/08/2026

₹1 CRORE TERM COVER COSTS LESS THAN YOUR MONTHLY OTT SUBSCRIPTIONS.

Think about that for a second.

You may spend ₹800–₹1,000 every month on Netflix, Prime, Hotstar and other subscriptions.

But a healthy 30-year-old may be able to get ₹1 crore of term insurance cover for roughly ₹700–₹900/month — depending on age, health, lifestyle, policy term and insurer.

That’s around ₹23–₹30 a day.

Now ask yourself:

📺 What does your OTT subscription give you?
Entertainment.

🛡️ What does term insurance give your family?
Financial protection when they need it most.

If something happens to you, that ₹1 crore could help your family manage:

→ Home loan & EMIs
→ Children’s education
→ Daily household expenses
→ Future financial goals
→ Loss of your income

The biggest mistake isn't buying term insurance too early.

It's waiting until it becomes more expensive—or until your health changes.

Term insurance isn't about planning for death.

It's about planning for the life your family will have without your income.

So before renewing another OTT subscription, ask yourself:

Have I protected my family's income first?

If you haven't bought term cover yet—or haven't reviewed your existing cover in years—

DM me “TERM”.

I'll help you understand how much cover you may actually need.
