अगर आप इनकम टैक्स रिटर्न (ITR-Income Tax Returns) फाइल करने की तैयारी कर रहे हैं तो आपको यह ध्यान रखना चाहिए कि फॉर्म 26AS आपके लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण दस्तावेज है. इसको लेकर सरकार ने बड़ा बदलाव किया है जो 1 जून से लागू होगा.

फॉर्म 26AS में न सिर्फ आपके सरकार को चुकाए गए कर की जानकारी होती है, बल्कि अगर आपने अधिक टैक्स चुका दिया है और आप उसका रिफंड फाइल करना चाहते हैं तो इस बारे में भी उसमें जिक्र होता है. अगर आपको किसी वित्त वर्ष में आयकर रिफंड मिला है तो इसमें उसका भी विवरण होता है. बतौर कर्मचारी आपको समय-समय पर ट्रेसेज (TRACES) की वेबसाइट पर फॉर्म 26AS चेक करने की जरूरत है. अगर आपके TDS से पैन नंबर जुड़ा हुआ है तो आप इस वेबसाइट पर टैक्स क्रेडिट स्टेटमेंट देख सकते हैं. ट्रेसेस की वेबसाइट पर यह सुविधा मुफ्त उपलब्ध है.

बदलाव

अब इसमें टीडीएस-टीसीएस के ब्योरे के अलावा कुछ निश्चित वित्तीय लेनदेन, करों के भुगतान, किसी करदाता द्वारा एक वित्त वर्ष में डिमांड-रिफंड से संबंधित लंबित या पूरी हो चुकी प्रक्रिया की सूचना को शामिल किया गया है.
इसका ब्योरा आयकर रिटर्न में देना होगा. इसके क्रियान्वयन के लिए बजट 2020-21 में आयकर कानून में एक नई धारा 285 बीबी को शामिल किया गया था. सीबीडीटी ने कहा कि संशोधित 26एएस फॉर्म एक जून से प्रभावी होगा.
