President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Sunday that F-16 fighter jets have arrived, providing a major boost to the air force of Ukraine at a critical juncture. Zelensky referred to the advent of these cutting-edge aircraft as "a new chapter" in Ukraine's defence capabilities while speaking from an airbase close to Kyiv.

Ukraine has long desired F-16s from its partners to strengthen its defence against Russian missiles, and they provide an essential boost to its air force. The F-16s have the ability to change the balance of power in the skies by engaging enemy planes, intercepting missiles, hitting ground targets, and providing air protection for soldiers.
Zelensky stated, "To strengthen our aviation and air defence, we held hundreds of meetings and negotiations." "We used to think it was impossible, but it's now possible." There are F-16s in Ukraine, and I'm proud of our pilots for having mastered these aircraft already.
