All the Apex Unions/Associations in RRBs are united in opposing the IPO proposed by the GOI in Regional Rural Banks. Today, All Employees observed the protest by wearing the Black badge on the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament.
As a part of a series of agitational programs planned, all units participated in protest with great enthusiasm .

An amount of ₹75 lakhs has been handed over to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan by the KGB Employees’ Union and Officers’ Union (affiliated to AIRRBEA & BEFI) towards the rehabilitation of the landslide-affected victims of Mundakkai - Chooralmala at Wayanad district.

We gratefully acknowledge, on this occasion, the support extended in this endeavour by some of the units affiliated with AIRRBEA.

The amount was handed over jointly by AIRRBEA President Com. C Rajeevan, KGB Employees Union General Secretary Com. Bigesh Unniyan, KGB Officers’ Union General Secretary Com. P. Rajesh, and Thiruvananthapuram District Secretary Com. S. Thoufeeq.

Greetings to all on May Day, an International Working Class Solidarity Day. May day is the spirit for sacrifice, unity and fight for just demands of workers.
This May day is a Red Letter Day in the history of RRBs, our long time demand for 'One State One RRB' is realised with 11 more large State level RRBs emerging from today, in addition to 17 RRBs already functioning. This success should inspire us to build further momentum towards NRBI - Apex body over 28 State level Gramin Banks, delinked from all Sponsor Banks, for greater Autonomy - Identity and sustainable services.

AIRRBEA atlast succeeded in formation of State level RRBs by 07.04.2025, with Decades of consistent struggle for consolidation of RRBs to make them strong in serving Rural India.
Yesterday, With Eleven amalgamation notifications published in Gazette of India, the number of RRBs will be 28 and number of Sponsor Banks will go down to Ten wef 01.05.2025.
It is an historical milestone clinched despite dirty sabotaging role of so called big Unions in Sponsor Banks. They have always projected RRBs as unwanted bodies and played nefarious role to wind up RRB system, demanding merger of RRBs in Sponsor Banks.
But, AIRRBEA magnified the performance of RRBs as a whole, and built image and credibility before people and Government.
Since the RRB Act was amended in 2015, while opposing privatisation of RRBs and we have intensified campaign for NRBI - Rural Bank for Rural India. Thus, State level RRBs bacame a reality.
We will take forward this campaign for 'Saving RRBs - Strengthening RRBs & Securing future of RRB workforce'.
