29/10/2025
From 1 November 2025, the sale of property in Haryana will move to a fully paperless and online registration system across all districts. Physical documents and manual deed writing will be discontinued—only digital deeds created and signed through the official online portal will be legally valid. All payments must be made through the government’s e-Governance payment gateway, and identity verifications, document uploads, and appointments will be managed online for every transaction.
Key Changes After 1 November 2025
Mandatory Online Registration: Every property sale deed, regardless of type or value, must be registered online; manual processes will no longer be accepted.
Digital Signatures: Property deeds require digital signatures only. Physical witnesses, paperwork, or manual drafting are fully phased out.
Auto-Mutation System: On November 25, Haryana will launch an automatic mutation system, so property ownership changes are instantly recorded and verified to prevent delays or disputes.
Payment and Transparency: All registration fees are payable online only, eliminating cash payments and improving transparency.
Integration of Digital Land Records: All new sale deeds will be automatically cross-verified with digital land records and GPS-tagged maps to reduce fraud and boundary disputes.
What Property Sellers and Buyers Should Do
Register on the Haryana revenue department’s e-registration portal.
Prepare for fully digital document processing—no physical records or manual submissions.
Ensure proper digital identity verification (OTP, Aadhaar, etc.).
Buy stamp papers online and make payments via the official gateway only.
Monitor transaction status online; all updates and notifications will be sent via SMS or portal alerts.
These reforms are expected to make property sales in Haryana faster, more secure, and more transparent, with clear legal records for every transaction.
