The - partnership stands at a decisive inflection point. Between 2015, when the IAFS III was held, and 2026, Africa has undergone a profound structural transformation, from a continent framed in terms of latent potential to one increasingly defined by institutional integration, digital innovation, and agency. In parallel, India’s engagement has evolved from a development cooperation model rooted in concessional finance and capacity building to a more ambitious framework of co-development, co-investment, and shared technological advancement. This shift is neither rhetorical nor incremental; it reflects deeper changes in Africa’s own priorities, the global economic landscape, and the nature of South–South cooperation.
