The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air‐conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 in New Delhi. The inspiration and guideline to form this society was, The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air‐conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). These include engineers, eminent personalities from HVAC industry, Professional from environmental field, industry owner, stu
dents etc. The main aims and objectives of ISHRAE are
Advancement of the arts and sciences of heating, air‐conditioning and refrigeration engineering
(HVAC) and related services. Continuing education of members and other interested persons in the said sciences through
Lectures, workshops, product presentations and publications. Rendition, career guidance and financial assistance to students of the said science
Encouragement of scientific research
ISHRAE regularly organize technical events like ACREX, ACRECONF, Acreserve, Racon, Urjavaran,
Ventocnf, and Confluence etc. where eminent personalities not only from India but from abroad are invited for giving lecture on their specialized subjects. This is a knowledge enhancing process for those who attend these lectures. At a periodic interval ISHRAE also organize technical training session where experienced and eminent personalities from HVAC industry conduct the training! Refrigerating, and Air‐Conditioning Engineers). The society consists of a group of persons interested and actively involved in the field of Air
Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation & Refrigeration. Founded in 1981 with only 4 members, today membership has grown to 10,000 with a local Chapter presence in 40 cities of India.
