IPE Global has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GESIA IT Association to improve women’s participation in Gujarat’s growing tech workforce.

The partnership will focus on strengthening skilling ecosystems, engaging the private sector and creating more gender-inclusive employment pathways.

The MoU was formalised on 23 May 2026 at the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), during the GESIA Women Tech Wing’s celebration marking two years of advancing women in technology.

IPE Global and GESIA will work together to identify emerging skills and workforce needs in the technology sector, support knowledge resources, create awareness for inclusive hiring, strengthen industry engagement and commitment, and build stronger pathways from skilling to formal employment for women.

The initiative aims to contribute to a more inclusive, innovation-driven and future-ready technology ecosystem in Gujarat, with stronger opportunities for women to participate, grow and lead in the state’s tech economy.

The Plan deploys hyper-granular heat risk assessments, disaggregated to the block and ward level, and embeds locally-led adaptation principles to ensure interventions are contextually grounded, institutionally owned, and scalable across Bihar and beyond 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 United Nations Development Programme - UNDP-𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗕𝗦𝗗𝗠𝗔) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗻𝗮.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁?
The Model Heat Action Plan for Patna is not another generic state-level template. It is built on a hyper-local risk architecture constructing a Heat Vulnerability Index and a composite Heat Risk Index. The model integrates near-term and mid-term climate projection scenarios that enables planners and policy makers in risk-informed planning. The plan goes further by embedding a live digital Decision Support System (DSS) and web portal, allowing district officials to visualise heat hotspots, overlay demographic and infrastructure data, and plan targeted responses in real time: 𝗮 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗼𝗳-𝗶𝘁𝘀-𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹.

The initiative and its capacity-building workshop received prominent recognition from Patna state authorities and leading newspaper dailies across Bihar signalling growing institutional momentum, aimed at supporting the transition from plan preparation to effective on-ground operationalisation of heat resilience measures that reduce structural drivers of urban overheating.

IPE Global will continue advancing scalable, science-based solutions to extreme heat across India aligned with the 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮'𝘀 - 𝗩𝗶𝗸𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟰𝟳 vision of a safe, climate-resilient, and equitable nation.
