Delhi University has always been the hub of political activities, but unfortunately, it has been unable to encourage majority of the students to participate actively in DUSU elections. The main reason for such apathy and indifference is the lack of intent in the conventional student unions to work towards student welfare. Also most of the student unions are dominated by candidates with immense mon
ey and muscle power, who indulge in unethical politics, thereby distancing the students from them. We, at Chanakya chhatra Parishad, aim to change the conventional notion of student politics, and give the students a cleaner and a democratic platform to voice their concerns. Our aim is to increase the participation of students in the upcoming elections, and we strive to achieve '100% voting' rate in DU. We believe that actions speak louder than words, hence we won't indulge in any traditional form of campaigning that involves lofty speeches and flowery words, but we will work together, with the students , to help them redress their grievances.
