A few Banks and HFCs like Axis Bank, HDFC Ltd have stopped home loan disbursements in Builder projects unless it is registered with RERA.

Most Builders payments come thru Home loan disbursements of their customers. Now if Banks in consultations with RBI decide to stop these payments, then Builders will have no option but to comply and get their projects registered under RERA.
