Difficulties in Saving?
Are you? Are you having difficulties in saving and have no idea where to start? Batwaa is one good place to start. You start small and save the little that you have and move up. What is more interesting about Batwaa, is that you have a group of people in your club who are also saving like you are, and it will encourage you to want to save more.
Sometimes saving can be discouraging, that is why at Batwaa, we came with a different approach. We understand how solid support groups are, and how having a group of people who think like you, go through the same struggles as you do, can be a huge encouragement in helping you save.
Why Do People Save?
There are different reasons why people save and some of them are
For Emergencies: nobody prays for any form of emergency, but as long as you are alive, there will be occurrences that will happen that are unforeseen. These occurrences are often beyond your control because as they say, life happens.
Life also doesn't say when it wants to happen, it just happens. That is why it is important to save so that one can be able to happen to life and not the other way round
Something Else To Depend On: one of the reasons why people save, is to have something to depend on. Money is meant to be spent, and as you earn it, needs and wants arise. But it is good to keep some for rainy days.
Free From Debt: getting out of debt can be very hard. Debts come in different forms: car loans, educational loans, house mortgage, and so on. As you earn money, one of the easiest ways to pay this off, is to save. Saving makes it easier for you to be able to pay off debts and be loan free.
Living Independently: Imagine living life with nothing to fall back on. The fear that will constantly plague one's life knowing that if something happens, life may end. But if you save, you will rest assured that no matter what happens, you have some funds to fall back on.
How Do I Save?
Saving can be difficult if you do not know how to. However, there are things that you can do that will make it easier for you to save.
Understand Your Income: this may sound silly, but you need to know how much you earn and how it translates to your buying power in the environment you find yourself.
Have a Priority List: write out what you need to purchase and leave out the things that are wanted. Some things are wanted and you can do without them. Then do without them.
Find Ways To Cut Down Spending: you need to find ways to avoid spending money on things that you don’t need. If you can walk sometimes, do it. If you can eat at home, instead of eating out, do it. All of these are ways to cut down on your spending and have enough money to save.
Find A Support Group: Support groups help you to have accountability partners so that when you get weary or slack, you can have someone or group of people who can encourage you and help you to keep pushing.
Batwaa is your best bet to have a support group that can help you save as much as you want. If you want a group of people to save with, you can start a club or just create your Batwaa club.
