Apply for TAN Before 31-03-2025

Section 194T made applicable From 01st April, 2025, where Partnership Firms are required to deduct TDS on Transactions of FY 2025-26.

Threshold Limit: Aggregate of payments during the Financial year Exceeding Twenty Thousand Rupees.

Transactions may includes

1. Salary Payment or Credit to Partner
2. Interest Payment or Credit to Partner
3. Bonus Payment or Credit to Partner
4. Commission Payment or Credit to Partner

"Taxpayers are advised to make the payment on or before 31.03.2025 and file the waiver application on or before 30.06.2025"

**Relevant Points**

1.Do not Confuse between the due dates for payment of Taxes and Filing of Waiver Application under GST amnesty scheme.

2.GSTN has advised to make the payment of Taxes on or before 31-03-2025.

3.Waiver application can be filed on or before 30-06-2025

4.As per Notification 21/2024-CT dated 8.10.2024, the due date for payment of tax payable for availing wavier scheme is 31.03.2025.

5.Taxpayers are advised to use "Payment Towards Demand" functionality in GST portal for payment of Taxes.
