Finally, IRDA has taken the correct decision to save individual mediclaim policy holders. Earlier individuals were paying the high premiums for their mediclaim policy and getting less benefits as compare to Group Mediclaim holders.

******Cashless facility for treatment in hospitals through mediclaim policy is the main attraction of health insurance. The cost of treatment is increasing day by day, and arranging huge amount of money in emergency for patients or their families is very difficult.
The cashless hospitalization process is not as easy as projected by the TPA or an Insurance Company. They give cashless treatment approval only after viewing and verifying uncountable parameters. We would like to share the list of the most common documents required for cashless hospitalization approval with minimum queries:
Photocopy of current mediclaim policy and past year policies.
TPA/Insurance card.
Photo ID proof
Photo ID proof
Age proof*
Past Treatment records along with current treatment records with positive test reports.
MLC copy in case of Road Traffic accident.
*The Age should match with age written in the policy.
