We are just narrating the past or facts.

1) Spanish flu hit the world that killed millions in Jan 1918. Went up to 1920.
2) In early 1920 America and the world went into depression, but recovered in 1921. perhaps due to the euphoria due to the fact Spanish flu was over and the world quickly recovered. When recovery happened, following things happened.
3) There was rampant speculation in the stock market.
4) When interest rate increased, stock prices went up instead of coming down. Today stock prices are going down when the interest rates are going down.
5) Stock prices were going up when the inflation was going up.
6) When interest was going up, stock prices went up and there were no takers in debt market.
7) When stock prices come down, bullion and/or commodity should go up. Not happening today.
8) These factors lead to great depression of 1929 or black Thursday.
9) Economists believe, Federal Reserve and other Central Banks behaved irresponsibly that resulted in one third of the banks getting wiped out from the face of earth. In our case, Governments are also responsible for indiscreet lending.
10) Net result was 15% drop in world GDP and even a country like USA had 25% unemployment. World over there was 50% drop in exports.
11) World then operated in silos. Today it is tightly integrated.

We get a feeling this Covid-19 is going to bankrupt millions, than kill. Let us all act responsibly.

Unless there is an amnesty scheme for MSME, no amount of policy change can help. The basis of all calculations are Balance Sheet numbers which are blatantly wrong. One-time amnesty should be provided. MSME should be asked to clean up the Balance Sheet. Else, no policy change would suffice.
