Aptus Value Housing Finance India Ltd is a leading affordable housing finance company, an approved Home Loan company by NHB, providing Home Loans to self-employed, Low and Middle-Income Families primarily from semi-urban and rural areas. It has a subsidiary known as Aptus Finance India Private Limited, an NBFC registered with RBI, focused on creating new economic opportunities for deserving small business entrepreneurs by giving SME loans for their business purposes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the overall credit underwriting and risk management function for housing and mortgage products, ensuring a balanced approach to growth, profitability, and asset quality.
• Develop, implement, and periodically review credit policies, underwriting standards, risk frameworks, and portfolio strategies in line with business objectives and market dynamics.
• Monitor portfolio performance through data-driven insights, early warning mechanisms, and risk analytics to proactively manage credit quality and mitigate emerging risks.
• Drive operational excellence by strengthening credit processes, improving turnaround times, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, and maintaining high service standards.
• Partner with Business, Operations, Collections, Legal, Technical, and Analytics teams to support product development, policy enhancements, and strategic business initiatives.
• Build and lead high-performing credit teams by fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, collaboration, and ethical decision-making while developing organizational credit capabilities.
• Provide timely portfolio, risk, and policy updates to senior management and the Board, ensuring effective governance and informed decision-making.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Qualification : CA / MBA from premier institute
Experience : 15 years of relevant experience, preferably from NBFC, HFC & Financial Services
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
• Good communication (Both verbal and written)
• Commanding leadership
• Strong expertise in credit underwriting, policy formulation, portfolio management, and risk analytics
• Proven leadership experience in managing large teams and driving cross-functional initiatives
• Excellent analytical, strategic, and stakeholder management skills with a strong focus on governance and business growth.
