Can I change my mobile number on my PAN card?
Yes, you can. Apply for a Correction PAN Card, in which you would be able to update your address, contact phone number, email address.
Can you change your PAN (Card) Number ?
No. The PAN number is allotted to the individual, and it remains the same for the life of the individual. Being in possession of more than one PAN number is illegal, and punishable with a penalty of upto Rs. 10,000/-
Also, it is not advisable. Your tax records, financial records - bank accounts, transactions are all tied to your PAN Number. The credit rating system (CIBIL) in India is getting better, and you only stand to gain by keeping the same PAN number.
