I was appointed by Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh as non-official member in Traders Welfare Board under Ministry of Excise & Taxation, Government of Himachal Pradesh. I received appreciation for my suggestions while assisting the Government in Implementation of VAT in the state. I was also part of Delegation of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to United States of America with
the Past President CA. Uttam Prakash Aggarwal and participated in discussion of overall growth of profession in meetings at Head quarter of CPA (Certified Public Accountants, USA), IFAC (The International Federation of Accountants, Business Consulate of New York and CA chapter at NY. I will share my experience with you during our interaction in days to follow. I was also part of Delegation of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to South Africa with WIRC, Mumbai where our present Central Council member from WIRC, CA Jay Ajit Cherraya was one of the delegates. The IFRS compliance and BASEL-II & BASEL-III was part of our discussion with South African Reserve Bank. I am also member of IEBF (Indo European Business Form) a non Profit making organization for networking relation between India and European Countries and promoting role & importance of Chartered Accountants in the process for setting up Banking, Business & Industry particularly in view of Make in Policy of Government of India. On social side, I remained President of Lion’s Clubs International and was invited for International convention of Lion’s at Detroit(USA) and Windsor (Canada) in 2004.
