As per IRDAI's Master Guidelines on Anti-Money Laundering/ Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), 2022 (IRDA/IID/GDL/MISC/160/8/2022), all General & Standalone Health Insurers are hereby required to follow Customer Identification Procedures and proper KYC/ AML/ CFT checks
Thus, each customer must be CKYC verified before a policy can be issued to the customer. If CKYC is not verified, the customer must manually do CKYC verification before buying the policy.
We have already started CKYC Process API integration via Insurers at our end.
Proposed CKYC Process Flow StepWise Common for all Insurer:-
a) Customer's CKYC using CKYC Number - Customer/Partner will fill Its CKYC Number for Kyc verification Purposes.
b) Customer's CKYC using PAN/Aadhar + DOB - Customer/Partner will fill Its Pan Card/Aadhar Number for Kyc verification Purposes.
c) Customer's CKYC using Document Upload: - Customer/Partner will Upload Required Document respective Document Insurer wise for Kyc verification Purposes.
Please Find below the list of documents required for KYC Verification at the time of applying for your RETAIL Motor/Health Insurance policy.
Kindly Note :- Document requirement may vary Insurer to Insurer
1. Photograph
2. Identity proof
3. Address proof
4. Permanent Account Number (PAN)
5. Aadhaar Card
6). DL ( Driving License)
7). Voter ID
8). Passport
9). Form 16 etc.
-- Kindly Note :- Without KYC Verification policy will not be issued as per IRDA guidelines.
