Sanjivani was governed under Rajasthan Cooperative Society Act 2001 in the past. At present the society is now multi-state, it is governed under Multi-State Cooperative Society Act 2002. lti-States Cooperative Societies Act 2002 registration No. The Government of India has formed rules to ensure the security of the deposits with Credit Cooperative Societies and it is mandatory by law for all registered societies to operate within those regulatory acts. Sanjivani Credit Cooperative Society follows all existing parameters of fund sufficiency those formed by Government of India. The accounts of society are subject to audit by audit department and audit reports are then submitted to Registrar Office for their governance. Sanjivani Credit Cooperative Society was established on 28 February 2008 in Barmer District of Rajasthan State under Rajasthan Cooperative Society Act 2001 with the approval of Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies Barmer. The first branch of Sanjivani was inaugurated by The Managing Director Barmer Central Cooperative Bank on 21 March 2008. By 31 March 2010, Sanjivani could do the best work in receipts by opening 28 branches in different Tehsils of Barmer district by following the principals of cooperative. Sanjivani is the first registered credit cooperative society of Western Rajasthan. The accounts of Sanjivani Credit Cooperative Society were audited by Audit Department of Rajasthan Government on 20 April 2010. Keeping in view the standard of our services and progress of our balance sheet, Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies Jodhpur Rajasthan was kind enough to grant the status of a Multi-District society. Thereby, the society increased the receipts in next financial year and extended the area of operations by opening new branches in neighbouring districts of Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Jalore and Pali. It is the first credit cooperative society of Rajasthan to provide ATM services to its members that no one could do it in the world of cooperative societies. In this financial year we have started a revolutionary scheme of small savings ‘SANJIVANI GULLAK SCHEME’. It is the first scheme that has been a land mark in fulfilling the aim of small savings in the history of cooperative societies. The society has achieved landmark of giving benefit to its 3000 members through 110 branches of the society till 31 March 2010. Based on the audit report of Audit Department of Rajasthan Government for the financial year 2008-09 and 2009-10, the society presented application to The Registrar Central Cooperative Societies Delhi to have status of Multi-States Society. Our application was accepted and we have been awarded the status of Multi-States Society under the Multi-States Cooperative Society Act 2002 Rule 7. is MSCS/CR/351/2010 having the area of Rajasthan and Gujrat states.
