CII 's Campus to Career pillar is intending to create
, & the participation of more women in jobs.
Did you know that Over 90% Children Recall Male Role Models As
Inspiration in STEM Fields. Clearly, there is a strong need for female
Role models in STEM in India. Today women's share in STEM jobs is mere 14 per cent in India. After COVID, there are likely to be fewer Women in STEM in India.
Since, going forward technology will play a major role in each & every field, it is important for children, young adults & adults to get
exposed to more women role models in STEM & women in STEM careers should be prepared for facing & overcoming challenges.
As a part of that, we are planning a series of Fireside Chats, Women
Trailblazers in STEM, featuring women & men leaders in the field of
Technology from October - December 2021. We also would be aligned to SDG 5 (Gender Equality) 9( Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure) through efforts.
The first session is focused on experience sharing by our speaker Ms , Director, Tesco Technology who will share 3 things that she learnt in her STEM Career on 22nd October 2021, from 1600-1700 Hrs.
