Bad loans at Indian banks have jumped an unprecedented 30% in the first quarter and things are likely to get worse. Besides the overall economic slowdown, one major reason why the NPAs shot up is the reckless lending resorted by state-run banks, between 2008-09 to 2011-12, without adequately assessing the risks. The focus was on volume growth and not quality. And this whole plethora of burden lies with the youth who join these PSB's (Those joined after 2011). Most of the focus would be shifted to NPA Recovery Management from this FY. What we expect in this page is to help our comrades in every way possible , from which ever PSB you work for, and to bring it to a public platform such as this so that things become transparent as to how things actually are behind the curtains. We also think that a Union's decision should be taken with the cumulative advice from every comrade and not a single group of entity comprising of 20 people(assumptively). " Growth is never by mere chance, it's always the result of forces working together "
