Grameen Netra Jyoti: A Vision for Villagers

CreditAccess India Foundation—the CSR arm of CreditAccess Grameen Limited—in partnership with the India Vision Institute (IVI), has launched Grameen Netra Jyoti, an initiative focused on improving access to quality eye-care services for rural children and adults across Nandurbar, Maharashtara, and Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh.

The program was officially launched on 10th August 2026 at Zilla Parishad School, Bhute Aakaspur, Shahada, Nandurbar, Maharashtra. The launch brought together government education officials, school representatives, community leaders, villagers, and representatives from CreditAccess Grameen, CreditAccess India Foundation and India Vision Institute.

Through the initiative, free eye screening will be provided to 7,500 children and 2,000 adults in both Shahada Block, Nandurbar, Maharashtra, and Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh, benefiting a total of 19,000 individuals. Children diagnosed with refractive errors will also receive spectacles, helping them see clearly and participate better in their education.

The initiative reflects our continued commitment to improving access to essential healthcare services and supporting healthier lives and brighter futures in rural areas.

Financial Literacy Community Awareness Program Launched Across Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh

CreditAccess India Foundation—the CSR arm of CreditAccess Grameen—in partnership with Maitry Munch, has launched the Financial Literacy Community Awareness Program to reach 11,000 rural women across Mahasamund District in Chhattisgarh and Dindori and Mandla Districts in Madhya Pradesh.

The program was officially launched on 30th July 2026 in Mandla District, Madhya Pradesh. The inaugural event was graced by Mr. Piyush Mishra, SDOP; Mr. Rajendra Bisen, Cyber Cell; and Mr. Bhuvneshwar Prasad, Zonal Manager, CreditAccess Grameen Limited, along with other team members.

The program focuses on key areas including savings, responsible borrowing, financial planning, digital financial services, and cyber fraud awareness. Interactive awareness sessions and a street play helped reinforce these important financial literacy messages and encourage informed and responsible financial practices.

As part of this initiative, 360+ Financial Literacy Community Awareness Programs are planned across the three districts, with the goal of reaching and training more than 11,000 rural women. The initiative reflects our continued commitment to promoting financial awareness, strengthening financial knowledge, and supporting women in making informed financial decisions for a more financially secure future.

Mr. Ganesh Narayanan, MD & CEO, CreditAccess Grameen, participated in the India WaterCredit Forum 2026 – “Financing for the Future of Water: From Access to Resilience,” organised by Water.org on 4 August 2026 at Hotel Shangri-La Eros, New Delhi.

During his session, “From Vision to Impact: How CreditAccess Grameen is Transforming Lives Through WASH Lending,” he spoke about the critical role of affordable and responsible finance in helping low-income rural households access safe water, sanitation and hygiene solutions.

He highlighted CreditAccess Grameen’s WASH journey, which began with awareness-building and community engagement and later evolved into dedicated Water and Sanitation Loan products through its partnership with Water.org.

Today, the company’s WASH portfolio has crossed ₹1,000 crore, serving more than 3.3 lakh active borrowers and cumulatively impacting over 2.3 million households.

As the focus shifts from access to long-term resilience, CreditAccess Grameen remains committed to advancing customer-centric WASH financing and exploring climate-resilient solutions for rural communities.
