Here’s our top picks of the Cricket World Cup, we have opted for six world class batsmen, 1 wicket keeper and four skillful bowlers as well as our 12th man!

BRENDON McCULLUM:
Best Performance: 77(25) vs ENG, Wellington
The swash-buckling Kiwi Captain provided the perfect platform for the rest of the batsmen to build more than just a formidable total. Plays the game the way he always does: SMASH!
MARTIN GUPTILL:
Best Performance: 237*(163) vs WI, QF4, Wellington
Over shadowed the GAYLE-STORM by stroking his way to a fluent-yet, unbeaten 237*. He stabilised the innings on one end while his partner kept smashing the ball out of the park.
KUMAR SANGAKKARA:
Best Performance: 124(95) vs SCO, Hobart
This may well have been the last World Cup for the Lankan wicket-keeper bat, but he broke a flurry of records with his bat. Scoring four consecutive 100’s, he took his country to the QF’s. His only regret would that of not winning the cup.
STEVE SMITH:
Best Performance: 105(93) vs IND, SF1, Sydney
Meet the new batting sensation of the Australian Cricket team. A prolific run-scorer while batting at No.3, he has scored valuable runs and was a key player in Austalia’s World Cup campaign. With great athletic ability too, Smith set an example of being a world class fielder.
AB DE VILLIERS:
Best performance: 162*(66) vs WI, Sydney
The Proteas skipper stunned everyone with a magnificent ton against the West Indies. His ability to score at a quick pace and form crucial partnerships was one of the main factors that helped them reach the semis. He is by far, one of the best finishers in the limited overs format.
GLENN MAXWELL:
Best Performance: 102(73) vs SL, Sydney
‘THE BIG SHOW’, knows only one way to play the game: GO BIG, OR GO HOME. His lofty hits with a strong bottom hand and his skills as a part-time bowler makes him a valuable addition to the Aussie outfit.
COREY ANDERSON:
Best Performance: 58(57) and 6-0-72-3 vs SA, QF 1, Auckland
He shot to fame by scoring the fastest century. The Kiwi bats down the order and is their perfect finisher. Anderson is a medium pace bowler with a decent economy rate and is ahandy option to get through those middle overs quickly.
MITCHELL STARC:
Best Performance: 9-0-28-6 vs NZ, Wellington
With 22 wickets, the Aussie-quick was the highest wicket-taker in this World Cup. He was also adjudged ‘MAN OF THE SERIES’ for his excellent bowling spells that troubled the batsmen. Along with the likes of Mitchell Johnson and Josh Hazelwood, this lad is a force to reckon with.
MORNE MORKEL:
Best Performance: 9-0-59-3 vs NZ, SF1, Auckland
The lanky South African pace bowler troubled batsmen with his bounce and played a huge role as a third seamer. His ability to swing and bounce kept his side in contention for winning the title.
TRENT BOULT:
Best Performance: 10-3-27-5 vs AUS, Auckland
The left-arm Kiwi quick ripped through the top-order of almost all the teams they have played during this World cup. His sharp pace and accurate line and unerring length made life difficult for most batsmen.
IMRAN TAHIR:
Best Performance: 10-2-45-5 vs WI, Sydney
This specialist spinner was a revelation for the Proteas. He wove his magic with the ball with his tight spells & claiming wickets at crucial junctures. Ably supported by the pace-men and their part-timers, Tahir was SA’s best spinner.
MOHAMMED SHAMI:
Best Performance: 9-1-35-4 vs PAK, Adelaide
Shami emerged as India’s most successful bowler during the World Cup. He led the Indian bowling attack and provided those crucial break-throughs. His knack of bowling at the death without leaking runs was the highlight of the Indian bowling attack.
