NTPC : Technical view- NTPC appears to have broken the slow downward channel of 5 years and started to trade above it. It has multiple supports at 110 - 120.
Fundamental View: There has been a consistent increase in book value from 77.28 ( 2010) to 104.08 ( 2014) which shows retained earnings kept by the company. Sales has been improving year on year from 48 billion rs ( 2010) to 79 billion (2014). There is good improvement in operating profit 14 billion(2010) - 19.6 billion( 2014). Net profit has shown growth of 8.8B(2010)-11B(2014. It has a book value 104. Price/Book 1.25.
RoE - 13, RoCE - 10.83, P/E ratio 10.9 with EPS 12.48.

With the company's performance increasing year on year , Debt/Equity - 0.88, having low debt. One can have a look at this stock at lower levels..

Nifty view : Nifty appears to have broken the downward channel.. it faces immediate resistance at 8450-8500.... if it is taken out.. nifty would be heading towards 8800... Greece referendum on July 5th would be able to decide...any positive outcome would trigger more buying..However... markets have started to show overbought condition according to hourly charts which shows selling might come .... once should be cautious and take a position after the Greece referendum.
