The Sansovi GCC team was delighted to join the roundtable with New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy during his economic mission to India, hosted today at the Ritz Carlton, Bengaluru (Organised by Indo American Chamber of Commerce)

The discussion brought together leaders across technology, higher education, fintech, pharma & life sciences, healthcare, and film & media, with a spotlight on New Jersey’s Strategic Innovation Center (SIC) programs—fostering global collaborations in AI, aerospace, semiconductors, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing.

The highlight of the day was the signing of an MoU between the Government of Karnataka and the State of New Jersey, reinforcing the deep and trusted partnership between two natural allies.

Thrilled to see the progress at Himalayan Basket, a GoodWorks Angel Fund portfolio startup that has created a revolution in the remote Himalayan villages in Uttarakhand by utilising the local food & dairy produce to create export grade ‘hardened cheese’ commonly known as ‘Churpi’.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated Himalayan Basket's newest factory. This state of the art facility is their 5th manufacturing centre in the state and the biggest one till now, which employs 200+ people directly and thousands indirectly.

The startup is at the driver’s seat of the economic development of Champawat region of Uttarakhand. Enterprising local women of Champawat have empowered Himalayan Basket and have created significant job opportunities for the local youth.

Congratulations Sneha Das and Sumit Thapliyal and the entire team at Himalayan Basket for this great achievement and recognition.
