Business Development service ( BDS ) providers ( consultants ) 3. Industry associations & chamber of commerce. BDS providers ( consultants ) are empaneled by ERC through a process. BDS providers are from across 40 industry verticals & all functional areas of business like marketing, exports, HR, finance, production, ISO, organisation, IPR, innovations, ISO etc. 82 such catagories are created. BDS

providers pay a small fee to be empaneled. IT companies have a show case of their products & solutions at ERC with a demo model. IT companies train empaneled BDS providers on theor products. IT companies pay a monthly fee to be present at ERC showcase. IT companies get SME referrals from ERC. Industry association sign MOU with ERC & circulates the info to its members. ERC & industry association advertises & publicizes a day when a BDS provider will be available at ERC. On arrival they go through an entry interview with the staff of ERC who identify their pain point. SME pays a Re. 1 membership fee for ERC membership & is issued an I-card. SME is then directed to the BDS provider. BDS providers gives counseling to SME on 2 fronts : 1. IT solution to the problem from IT companies 2. Consulting solution from BDS provider. If the SME likes the IT solution, the referral is forwarded to IT company & if they like the BDS providers consulting solution then the SME enters into a contract with BDS provider. 10% fees is paid by BDS provider to ERC in case a contract is signed. ERC conduct an Exit interview of SME to track impact. Impact is measured over a period of 1 year & an effort is made to isolate the factors growth & competitiveness of SME over a period of one year to factors of IT solution & BDS providers services to the SME. ERC is used by BDS providers & IT companies to deliver training to SME's every week in groups of 20. Sector wise Buyer Seller Meet is conducted every week at ERC with live internet video facility with India & with global buyers. Purchase meetings are conducted every week at ERC with live internet video facility. Technology transfer meetings are conducted every week at ERC with live internet video facility. Focus is on biotechnology, green technology, nano tech, IT, infrastructure related tech etc....
