I loved the portion where he describes how he found/hired his main resources and partners. Also another portion where he talks about the discipline and documentation.

The book revolves around Tajo Amar Beharry, the author of the book who has narrated his life through words. The book is a mirror of the injustice one needs to face through the life and how it is often supported by major authorities. When I started reading it, I slowly slipped into the world of the captain, about his injuries, the courtroom conversation and his will to fly against injury.

The book is about emotional turmoil, which lifts your soul with motivation at one moment and puts you under the heavyweights of justification at another. I also noted how the author not being a professional writer but a pilot, has gracefully penned down his experiences, upcoming challenges and upbringing. Anyone who loves this genre shall definitely go for the Grounded: One Eye Open by Tajo Amar Beharry.

The Somnath Cipher turned out to be one of the top reads of 2024!
Being from Gujarat, I have always heard stories related to the Somnath evasion, and it was part of my childhood memories.

The story revolves around historical clues and things that if revealed today may cause harm to today's world. That's when the heroine of the story, Pia enters! Aditya is the hero of our story and the direct link to the whole Somnath story.

The historical facts are stated so beautifully, making you fall in love with the Somanth again and again. Mixed with modern adventure, the finding of the Somnath secrets and the involvement of the foreign enemies make you stick to the book. The thrill, joy and small details of the story made me consider re-reading the book. The only sadness I had was I dreamt about getting Aditya and Pia hitched or marrying, but there is very little romance is shown ( side effect of my romantic readings lately) 😍😍

The cover of The Kalee and the Mysterious Twins is vibrant! I also loved the graphics they gave inside the book making it more interesting.

The story revolves around a girl, living in a garden with her father, in a small cottage. Her house describes every child's dream! Her story swirls around the garden where she meets her new friends, Mysterious Twins. She and her garden get in lots of trouble, specifically when the garden starts getting famous.

The story becomes amusing when she and her twin friends try to resolve all the mysteries that are happening in the garden. Kalee is shown like any other kid of her age, but her ability to find solutions for her father is quite adorable.

Your home is in my heart is kind of that good vibe novel. I love how simple yet impacting story it is. Another aspect I adore is those small pictures and attention to small details where even the hairdo and clothes are described in a way that it looks like scene in from of eyes.

The story revolves around 2 families, and how their kids falls for each other. The story seems like a karan joher movie, where even after hundreds of hurdles, hero heroine meets.

I personally loved the character of prem, the compassion, respect and kindness he has towards everyone around him.

The grandmother's words, the brotherhood and story line is keeps you hooked up.

If you are interested in soft and subtle stories, so read this novel. It give you much needed relaxation and happy reading.

"My Illegitimate Son" is a heartwarming tale about a dog named Louis for dog lovers or if you're thinking about getting one. Readers become attached to Louis, and their emotions start to affect him, making him their favorite dog character. The story gives a unique perspective on the human world and the situations it involves.

It is not only through Louis' eyes that we see what society is like in terms of human terms, but it is also from the perspective of animals. In addition to being separated from his siblings, Louis was also placed with a foster family and faced a whole new set of challenges there. Thus, the author guides the reader through the emotional journey he experiences.

My attention was immediately grabbed by the beautifully narrated story that had me hooked as soon as I started reading it. This is a one-sit read. The author does a masterful job of conveying the feelings through the story and touches the heart like no other.

This book is extremely fascinating because it is told by Louis from the perspective of his dog, so you will feel as if he is telling you everything

"I Kick and I Fly" is about Ruchira Gupta's heroine 'Heera'. During the British invasion, the Nat Community got exploited, people lost their jobs, and divide and rule started. Heera is fourteen and belongs to a Nat Community. The Nat Community sold medicines, rope bridge acrobatics, wrestling shows, iron utensils, etc. Since the British invaded India, they stopped making and selling these commodities here. Eventually, they had to engage in s*x work here in India.

Throughout the book, the reader sees that Heera is in danger of being trafficked by her own father, and her learning of martial arts saves her. Her every moment and victory helps not only her but her family as well. The book contains many tough moments where we feel safe in our safe space.

The plot twists and turns in the story are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. The language is simple and easy to understand. And the most beautiful part of the book is the food descriptions.

The book narrates the story of 1947, when life was chaos and people didnt know their homes would be destroyed wihtin the fire of partition. The hero of the story, gurdev witenessses the strugles of the partcition and decides to move to current India and delhi! But destiny plays with him as his wife runs away with their children and the treasure given to her by his mother. The book shows how lives were then in refugee camps, stories of different people feeling different emotions and their stories.

While this struggle continues, Gurdev decides to start a fabric and stitching business with two other refugees during the course of the story. Towards the end of the novel, he meets a strong minded woman who changes the course of his life in a positive way. While his business is flourishing, the story takes a turn as he decides to visit Pakistan. What happens next?

For that you need to read the book.

The book is a happy read, I finished it in one go during my travels!

"Failure to Make Round Roties" is a poetry book, To be honest, I am not a poem person, but this book glued me. I loved the variation of the subject, those small yet impactful poems on love, food, and childhood. Her way of expressing herself through poetry is effective. You shall read this book to understand the love language of poetry!

My absolute favorite section was, " The Indian Matchmaker", in this poetries Mehak shows the harsh reality that can make you feel cringe at a point! The bunch of 'Adulting' and 'How to do Luadnry' will remind you of your days of being adult, learning things and facing life. Her sharp narrations makes you feel all those emptions and relate to the matter. The wallet of happiness and lottery of love walks you through the raw reality of falling in love and trying to be happy.

Another thing that is great is those small graphics on every other page, maching the theme of words and keeps you amused all the time.

In the prologue of this book, a variety of questions immediately jump into your mind, something that can be challenging, but this book does it very well. Cameron and Emilie meet by chance, fall in love, and are destined to be together forever. But when Emilie mysteriously disappears, everything falls apart. After a mysterious encounter one year later, he discovers that Emilie is still alive and pregnant. To save Emilie, Cameron must plunge into a world of danger and deception. Will Cameron be able to rescue Emilie? A much larger conspiracy is at work, with powerful shady organizations behind Emilie's disappearance.

The story alternates between the present day and the past during this book. This gives you two sections of the story that are intertwined, allowing you to view Cameron’s memories to gain insight into the characters while the plot continues. The story has many interesting elements, and there is something everyone can learn from it. Well-described story makes you see what people do through their point of view, look at relevant memories, and so on. A book I could see people reading over time, checking back to read a chapter or two on long car rides or train rides.
