डिफेंस वेटरन्स (पूर्व सैनिकों) के लिए बड़ी खबर: 10 साल से कम सर्विस होने पर भी प्रो-राटा पेंशन*

⚖️ *न्यायिक मामले में अहम फैसला*

आर्म्ड फोर्सेस ट्रिब्यूनल ने एक *एयर फ़ोर्स वेटरन (पूर्व सैनिक) के दावे को मंज़ूरी दी है, जिन्होंने डिस्चार्ज के समय केवल 09 साल, 08 महीने और 26 दिन की क्वालिफाइंग सर्विस पूरी की थी।*

माननीय ट्रिब्यूनल ने माना कि वेटरन प्रो-राटा पेंशन पाने के लिए 10 साल की सर्विस पूरी करने में हुई कमी (शॉर्टफ़ॉल) को माफ़ किए जाने (कंडोनेशन) के हकदार हैं।

📌 आसान शब्दों में:

👉 सर्विस: 09 साल 08 महीने 26 दिन
👉 कमी (शॉर्टफ़ॉल): केवल 03 महीने 04 दिन
👉 ट्रिब्यूनल: कमी को माफ़ किया गया
👉 फ़ायदा: प्रो-राटा पेंशन

संबंधित अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया गया है कि वे डिस्चार्ज की तारीख से प्रो-राटा पेंशन का फ़ायदा दें और बकाया राशि (एरियर) का भुगतान फ़ैसले में दिए गए निर्देशों के अनुसार करें।

⚠️ ज़रूरी बात: इसका मतलब यह नहीं है कि 10 साल से कम सर्विस वाले हर वेटरन को अपने-आप प्रो-राटा पेंशन मिल जाएगी। पात्रता डिस्चार्ज के प्रकार, क्वालिफाइंग सर्विस, आवेदन से जुड़े नियमों/सर्कुलर और मामले की व्यक्तिगत परिस्थितियों पर निर्भर करेगी।

🔹 जिन वेटरन्स को 10 साल से कम क्वालिफाइंग सर्विस के साथ डिस्चार्ज किया गया था, खासकर जहाँ सर्विस में कमी कम थी, उन्हें इस न्यायिक फ़ैसले के आधार पर अपने सर्विस रिकॉर्ड/पेंशन दस्तावेज़ों की जाँच करवानी चाहिए।

16 मार्च 2026 को डायरेक्टर जनरल आफ लाजिस्टिक्स आपरेशन एंड एस एम ने सेना मेडल, नौ सेना मेडल और वायुसेना मेडल (वीरता) से सम्मानित सैनिकों, उनके आश्रित और साथ में एक सहायक के लिए इस तरह की एक घोषणा की थी कि - इस पदक से सम्मानित सैनिकों को First class / 2nd AC/ AC Chair Car -2 में फ्री यात्रा की सुविधा प्रदान की जा रही है।

यह केवल सेना मेडल, नौ सेना मेडल और वायुसेना मेडल (वीरता) से सम्मानित सैनिकों के लिए है, न कि सभी सैनिकों के लिए।

इस पत्र के अनुसार सेना मेडल, नौ सेना मेडल और वायुसेना मेडल (विशिष्ट) से सम्मानित सैनिक भी इस सुविधा के पात्र नहीं हैं।

The Contempt Petition in the matter was disposed of today, 20.08.2026, by the Hon’ble Principal Bench, CAT, New Delhi. The Hon’ble Bench has granted liberty to the petitioners to seek further legal remedies in the event they remain dissatisfied with the respondents’ compliance.

This order, while closing the contempt proceedings for the present, leaves the door open for fresh judicial recourse should the respondents persist in their piecemeal or inadequate compliance. The petitioners thus retain the right to pursue appropriate legal action to secure full implementation of the Tribunal’s binding directions.
